读这本书的过程就像去到桃花源,在豁然开朗之前的过程是痛苦而艰涩的,当然当通过那一段窄路之后再回味,还是别有一番滋味。
整体来说这是主人公安东尼的一场噩梦,在梦里安东尼经历了信仰上不尽的试探。在福楼拜长达25年的打磨下,这场噩梦是有条理且工整的:从最开始受到类似于“七宗罪”的诱惑;到中间则遇到数也数不清的异教徒的争论;再到后来希拉瑞昂以“科学”的名义告别,引出魔鬼和安东尼那段令人心醉的谈话(不愧是魔鬼);最后各种神兽动物纷至沓来,安东尼梦醒,又向自己的信仰祷告。
这个噩梦太工整了。
我以为,我能理解的是,七宗罪的诱惑是现实世界的写照(福楼拜经历过法国七月革命、二月革命、第二帝国等。他看到了社会繁荣的背后是政治腐败、物欲横流、道德堕落、人与人之间只有尔虞我诈而没有真诚与信任);异教徒不同的世界观则组成了平行于基督教信仰世界的其他世界;最后“科学”现身,魔鬼出现,令我震颤的同时,我认为是很超前的、很精彩的,我甚至很想简单的把魔鬼跟“科学”画上等号。魔鬼似乎不单单与安东尼讨论,也是在试图说服并不在场的其他异教徒,毕竟我们不知道在安东尼做噩梦的同时,是不是有其他教的“安东尼”也在做噩梦。
只是最后梦醒时分,上帝出现,安东尼又一次念出祈祷文,与我对结局的猜想似乎不同:我本以为他会在梦中颠覆自己的信仰和世界观。
这里不禁要问:安东尼信仰的终极是什么?想要达到什么目的?(我忘记书中有没有提及了)有异教徒把终极目标定为超脱一切,为所欲为;也有把终极目标定为拯救苍生。安东尼信仰的终极是什么呢?
我以为,在认同了魔鬼的一部分观点之后,书的结尾或许是某种答案。我们的世界作为一个整体,其中某一个生命的结束或许并不意味着什么,生命的延续也没有任何目的,你想改变的或许根本无法改变,你想顺从的或许根本毫无规律。世界只是按照我们想不透的线路运行着,无人可挡,无边无际。当我们无论以哪种形式,灵魂、肉体、泥土、灰烬……但只要以物质的形式归于世界时,我们或许才会作为世界的一部分,而有意义。
太终极了。
哈哈哈哈哈我胡思乱想的已然乱套了。我觉得正因为此,这本书对于我才有意义,一定要买本实体书再读!
